Beginning of the month brings a reminder that it's so profitable to use Swagbucks.  If you sign up   and train yourself to do searches through this alternative search engine, you can score points that add up to stuff.  We just got 2 more Amazon $5 gift cards in July.  Since I told my hubby about it just a few months ago, our points have accumulated much quicker.

Have you tossed your papers yet?  If not, in the Parade or USA section there is a 50 cent coupon for Walgreen's brand pain relievers.  These are on sale B1G1 this week, so you can apply two coupons for additional savings of $1.

There are so many in-store coupons in the ad this week for school supplies and groceries, too many to list.  Even if you haven't got someone going to school this fall, you can get bargains on paper, tape, pens, scissors, mailing envelopes, etc.

CVS - scan you customer care card and you should get a store coupon for 50 cents off a GREEN BAG TAG, making it 49 cents.  Attach it to a reusable bag (any kind) and bring it with you every time you shop at CVS.  You will be rewarded with $1 Extra Buck every 4th time you use it (it will print on your receipt).

Free item - get the U by Kotex pads or tampons and get EB's for full price $4.99

Sign up for email here and get a $4 off coupon off a $20 purchase (must have a CVS Customer Card, so make sure you get one in the store!) first time enrollees only.  Dollars off coupons should be tendered first before you hand in all of your other coupons for maximum savings.  That way, you maintain a higher total initially.

Some middle-of-the-week encouragement to keep on clipping coupons, sending for rebates, signing up for email clubs,  shopping with ebates, etc.


In my email- 

• a free movie ticket from Hershey's promotion last month
• a free appetizer for joining email club for Brio's Tuscan Grill
• a coupon for $5 off two entrees @ Macaroni Grill for signing up
• a notice of an upcoming rebate check from ebates for $5.19

In my mailbox-

• a rebate check for $3.25 
• a $5 off coupon from Target

In the newspaper- (or rather, on it)

• a $10 off $20 coupon from Kohl's good until the 24th (get extras!)

Sometimes you can get the previous day's newspapers from CVS/Walgreens/Publix so look for the ones with the coupon sticker on the front page.

Today was my day to stock up on deodorant, here is how it went:

*Although I had a $3/2 MQ, the only one that is available today is for $2/2, so the deal isn't quite as good.  The Right Guard is B1G1 free $3.99.  You can print the $2 coupon HERE.


Found at Publix—if your store has a "clearance area" like most of the stores around me, you can often find personal items and sometimes groceries marked at 2/for the original price, or half and that is where I discovered all of these deodorant brands at half price.
Of course, I had coupons for 9 out of the 10 deodorants and this is how it stacked up:

6 Secret sheer mineral 2/$4.79  ($14.37)
used five $2 off MQ (-$10)
used 1 Target store coupon $1 off any secret from Target home mailer (-$1)
final cost for six deodorants $3.37 or 66 cents each

2 Dove Ultra 2/$4.49
used MQ $1.25 off two
used two Target coupons for $1 off any Dove (find coupon HERE.)
final cost for two deodorants $1.24 or 62 cents each

2 Sure deodorants 2/$2.69
used two MQ's $1 off any Sure

The average price I paid for each deodorant today was about 60 cents!

Then I used a store coupon from the recent Advantage Flyer for $3 off Motrin and stacked it with a $3 MQ to get 40 count PM for $2.29.

I used a MQ for $3 off Lysol Hands-Free soap dispenser and stacked it with a $5 competitor coupon from the Walgreen's monthly coupon booklet.  The kit was on sale for $9.99 and the final price after both coupons was $1.99.

Always check the clearance area in every store you shop because that is where I get the best deals, hands down!
