Target Deals

Found at Target:

Reynolds wrap, non-stick, heavy duty and regular on sale for $2.50 each.  Couponers should have $1 off coupons that expire tomorrow, making them just $1.50 apiece.

General Mills cereals (various) on sale for $2.33.  There are many coupons out there for:

  • $1/3 (means $1 off wyb three),
  • $1/2, recent peelies for $1.50 off any GM cereal 16 oz and larger and
  • Target coupon for $1/2 (from recent home mailer) any GM cereal.

I was able to combine for $4 off of $4.66 for a final cost of 33 cents a box.  If you haven't got any coupons in your stash you can find 55 cent coupons here

New Coupon Sources

One question people ask often is, "Where do you get your coupons?"  Besides the newspaper (mostly Sunday inserts) which I buy in multiples, and online sources often cited on this blog, there are lots to be found right in the stores we shop.

For instance, there is a new monthly flyer at Walgreens filled with store coupons which are stackable with MQ's.  Get it in the store right next to the weekly ad display.

Look for the Family Dinner flyer in your local Publix, if it is not in your regular store, check out a nearby location because it's filled with $75 worth of STORE and Manufacturer's coupons.  I picked up six from the store in Heathrow which had a big display near the pharmacy.

In the weeks to come I'll be referring to some of those Q's for match-ups, so grab some while you can.

Also found, lots of tear pad coupons in and around the store.  Here's a photo of the ones I picked up yesterday, still available...

CVS Deals for this week

A few notes about CVS ad this week:

Scan your card and you will most likely come up with a store coupon for $2 off Bounty multi-pack paper towels. There is a 6-pack of Bounty Basic on sale for $5.97, and since my store was all out, the manager substituted an 8-pack of regular Bounty for the same price. I had an additional MQ, so my final cost was just $2.97 for 8 rolls.

There is a super buy on M&M's candy this week with individual bags and bars 89 cents for 2 (B1G1).  Coupon clippers should have a MQ for 75 cents off 2 making each candy only 7 cents.  By the way, the coupon will work on any M&M Mars candy product, not just M&M bags.  Cannot beat that and this is a great time to have extra coupons to stock up movie candy.

Buy $10 worth of SC Johnson cleaning products (see ad for exact products) and get $5 in Extra Bucks, each product is priced at $2.50, so you need to get four.  If you have $1 MQ's for Oust, Lysol, Glade, etc., you can end up paying just $6 for the 4 products and getting back $5 in EB's.

There is still a rebate in effect for these SC Johnson products until 6/30 only, so you can get a $5 rebate for purchasing any 3 of the qualifying products.  This can turn out to be a money maker with the EB's and the rebate, but hurry!

Savings Tip of the Week:
While you are shopping this week, keep your eyes peeled for coupon dispensers (blinkies), peelies and tear pads with extra savings.  Even if the item is not on sale at this time, grab two coupons and save them for later. I usually do this once a week at the grocery store and at Target.

TV45 Interview

It's here! If you missed my television appearance (on TV-45 Good Life Broadcasting) last week, you can click on the box in the upper-left-hand corner where it says, "Watch my interview," and view it.  It is the second feature which is approximately 14 minutes into the program.

I was recognized by 2 cashiers in my local drugstore today—they started shouting when I walked in the door, saying, "We saw you on TV!"  What a hoot!

It was a wonderful experience and I loved the staff, some of whom I already know, a few I met for the first time.

CVS Deals for this week

Scan your card at CVS every time you go in the store! I got a coupon for $4 off $20 purchase which I used today, and I had two store coupons I had been saving, for $2 off any Dove purchase or a free Dove bar.  I didn't want to spend $4 on a bag of candy, so I opted for the bars, however,  the cashier gave me the full $2 on each coupon!  How's that for saving?

Colgate Total toothpaste, various types on sale for $2.99, limit 2
use $1 MQ on each
final cost 1.99 each
earned $2 Extra Bucks on each

CVS brand pain reliever, 50 count or various types on sale for $3.99
earned $3 Extra Bucks

Again I found several makeup items in Rimmel and L'Oreal that were on sale for 75% off, making each less than $2.  I had a $1 coupon for each of the three items I purchased for a total of $2.73, saving more than $20 on the retail cost.

I put the $4 coupon from the printer to good use buying CVS brand batteries, buy one 4-pack AA's for $3.99 and get a second one free.

Also free after EB's, Power Bar Sure & Simple, pay 99 cents get $1 EB.

Free acid reducer product plus $1 EB offer:

  1. Purchase Zegerid OTC 14-count for $9.99
  2. use $4 MQ from Smart Source insert 6/20
  3. send in mail-in-rebate form (same insert) for purchase price less coupon $5.99
  4. Earn $1 Extra Buck

Your cost will be $5.99, rebate will be $5.99, you will earn $1 in EB's

My spending ended up being $6.86 and my savings for the day $44.53.

There are some super deals to be found at Walgreens this week if you have the coupons.

earn $4.50 in RR's

2 Scott tissue 4-packs $3.49 each

See details of up to $4 in Scott products coupon rebate here
Total for transaction #2 about $11 (with tax)
used $10 RR's from transaction #1 to pay
out of pocket approximately $1
Earned $6.50 in RR's for next trip!

Super clearance find this week (look in the back of the store):
I found Reach toothbrushes in packs of 3 brushes marked down to $1.50, so I grabbed six $1 off any Reach toothbrush coupons and walked away with 18 toothbrushes for $3.

A few more deals you may want to take advantage of:
Heartburn sufferers, if you use an over-the-counter acid reducer, you might want to try Zegerid since you can get it for free after rebate.  Here's how:

  1. Purchase  the 28-ct. package for $18.99 and use the $4 off coupon from the Smart Source flyer 6/20, making your out-of-pocket $14.99.
  2. You will earn $3 in RR's with your purchase.
  3. Send for rebate valued up to $12.99 with mail-in-offer in SS flyer with coupon.

You will pay $15 up front, get $13 back in a rebate check, making your cost $2, and you will earn $3 in RR's—a one dollar profit.

Free 12 ounce Renu eye solution after RR's ($7.50)
I don't have any coupons for this, but is entirely worth it if you use the solution.

Ground chuck for $1.59 -manager's special at WD

I happened upon a super buy and wanted to share it:
Meat rarely gets this low... $1.59 a pound for ground chuck.  Swing by your local Winn Dixie and see if you find the marked down special.

I know it's not the best grade, but for burgers and meatballs it will do just fine!  This is a good time to stock up by putting some in the freezer or cooking it ahead of time for later use.
